Mumbai, March 28 (NationPress) A month has passed since the untimely passing of former Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister and NCP president Ajit Pawar, and heartfelt tributes continue to emerge from family and party associates, emphasizing that his legacy of development and public service will persist.

On Saturday, newly appointed NCP head and Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Sunetra Pawar expressed that despite the overwhelming sorrow from his absence, his innovative ideas and dedicated work ethic will remain a guiding force for the party and its members.

In a touching social media tribute, Sunetra Pawar, who was also his spouse, characterized him as a compassionate leader with an unwavering focus on public welfare.

“A figure of heart and spirit. A profound sense of humanity, an incessant desire to serve, and tireless dedication to societal improvement—this encapsulated the essence of Ajit Dada. His staunch commitment to using authority for the benefit of the public, the developmental pathways laid out by his vision, and the immense trust he garnered from the populace through his actions were the hallmarks of his life's mission,” she shared.

She further remarked that his decisiveness and the strength he imparted to the NCP family would continue to motivate party members to advance. “Ajit Dada will always be in our hearts. His influence will eternally resonate in our thoughts, our actions, and in every endeavor we undertake,” she stated.

His son, Jay Pawar, conveyed profound sorrow, noting that the absence felt is present “at every step and every moment.”

“A month has elapsed since you departed. I still find it hard to accept. Words escape me. I am uncertain of what more to express,” he shared in a moving message.

NCP (SP) legislator and nephew Rohit Pawar reflected on a poignant moment, recalling a WhatsApp call he attempted to make to Ajit Pawar on January 28. “It still feels like an unsettling dream. That day, I called, but he didn't answer, and I missed hearing that familiar, resonant voice. The pain is profound,” he wrote.

Another nephew, Yugendra Pawar, shared an extensive emotional tribute on Facebook, conveying both sorrow and a determination to uphold his uncle’s political and social legacy. He mentioned that questions surrounding the events leading to Ajit Pawar’s passing continue to weigh on the family, with many seeking clarity about what really happened.

“This has been the most arduous and painful month of our existence. Even now, our hearts refuse to accept your absence,” he expressed, adding that the family, including his grandmother and father, is still grappling with the loss.

He also noted that the ongoing Budget Session of the Maharashtra Legislature feels incomplete without Ajit Pawar's commanding presence and voice in the assembly. “Your journey will be our journey. Your aspirations will be our mission. Your absence can never be compensated,” Yugendra stated.

Meanwhile, NCP (SP) working president and cousin Supriya Sule mentioned that coming to terms with his loss remains challenging. “The gap left by Ajit Dada's exit will never be fulfilled. The joyful memories we shared will be cherished for a lifetime,” she expressed on X.
