Ayodhya Experiences Increased Flower Demand as New Year Approaches

Ayodhya, Dec 27 (NationPress) As the New Year draws near, Ayodhya, the revered and sacred city of Uttar Pradesh, is seeing a notable uptick in the need for flowers. This increase is fueled by the forthcoming New Year festivities, weddings, and religious ceremonies, leading to a vibrant atmosphere in the local flower markets.

Flower vendors in Ayodhya are preparing for one of their most hectic seasons to date. Mast Ram, a florist with over 35 years of experience, mentioned that this year’s demand is projected to surpass that of previous years, especially for roses and bouquets.

“Every year, we cater to the entire city, including the Ram Ki Paidi temple. However, the demand this year is particularly high,” Mast Ram stated.

The assortment of flowers arriving in Ayodhya is extensive. Mohammad Naseem, another seasoned flower trader, explained the influx of blooms, saying, “On an ordinary day, we receive about 7 to 8 quintals of flowers, but during wedding season, that amount increases to 15 to 20 quintals. We stock every variety of flowers, including imports. Just marigolds alone come in quantities of 20 to 25 quintals. This year, we anticipate a significant rise in demand for English flowers, particularly due to the New Year celebrations.”

The lively atmosphere of the flower market reflects the city's dynamic energy as traders brace for a wave of customers seeking floral arrangements for festivities and religious rituals. From rose bouquets to marigolds, Ayodhya’s flower sellers are prepared to satisfy the rising demand with commitment and expertise, ensuring that the city's spiritual and celebratory vibe is enriched with the beauty of flowers.

Flowers are frequently viewed as a representation of new beginnings, growth, and renewal, aligning perfectly with the essence of the New Year. The gesture of gifting flowers embodies hope and the promise of both personal and community growth in the upcoming months.

Since the inauguration of the Ram Temple in January this year, Ayodhya has emerged as a prominent tourist destination for visitors.
