Ayodhya, Nov 25 (NationPress) The initial visuals of the sacred flag destined to flutter atop the Ram Temple surfaced on Tuesday, just before the much-anticipated ceremony. This specially designed flag, which measures 22 feet in length and 11 feet in width, is set to be hoisted to mark the occasion.

Crafted by a parachute expert from Ahmedabad, the flag weighs between two to three kilograms and has been engineered to endure the conditions at the temple’s 161-foot peak and the 42-foot flagpole. The radiant Sun depicted on the flag symbolizes the brilliance and valor of Lord Ram, while it also showcases the ‘Om’ symbol and the outline of the Kovidara tree.

This sacred flag embodies dignity, unity, and cultural continuity, representing the ideals of Ramrajya. According to statements, the Dharma Dhwaja will be unfurled on the temple’s ‘Shikhar,’ which is built in the traditional North Indian Nagara style. The temple's surrounding boundary wall, stretching approximately 800 metres, showcases a South Indian architectural style, highlighting the diversity of its design.

In preparation for Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit to hoist the sacred flag at the Ram Janmabhoomi Temple, extensive security measures have been established at all entry points of the Ram Mandir. Special 'prasad' has been arranged for the devotees expected to attend the flag-hoisting ceremony.

The Ram Path in Ayodhya has also been adorned with beautiful floral decorations.

However, due to security protocols, guests attending the ceremony are prohibited from bringing mobile phones into the temple.

Devotees and priests expressed immense excitement and emotion on Tuesday, describing the day as both historic and significantly meaningful.

During an interview with IANS, several devotees shared their feelings of pride and joy.

One devotee remarked, “This is a wonderful event and a proud moment for our Bharat. People have gathered here with great enthusiasm and happiness. Previously, it didn’t feel as if Shri Ram was present here, but today, being here fills us with immense pride and energy as citizens of India. Words cannot express this happiness.”

Another devotee mentioned, “Today, our enduring aspiration for a Hindu nation feels closer to realization with the inauguration led by our Prime Minister. We are witnessing a moment that will be etched in history. Devotees and workers from Kashi and other regions have already begun their journey to the temple, ready to witness and celebrate this grand occasion.”

Priests also conveyed the emotional significance of the event. Priest Bhola Patwa recalled a prayer from many years ago: “I want to tell everyone that back in 1971, I prayed to Maharaj, Guru Maharaj Anant Shri Devrabhavji Maharaj, Jogi Sanbaradh, and Swamish Devrabhavji Maharaj, asking when people would be able to see the temple, the deity, and the sacred site of Ram Janmabhoomi. Today, that vision has become a reality.”

Another priest stated, “Today is an incredibly exciting day, now that the Ram Mandir has been completed. We express our gratitude to Yogi Adityanath and Prime Minister Modi. The temple has been constructed with immense dedication, resulting in remarkable changes. It stands as a magnificent and inspiring structure, reflecting the devotion and tireless efforts of all involved.”

Meanwhile, the Ram Temple in Ayodhya will be closed to the public until 2:30 pm today due to the Prime Minister's visit. Only invited guests with QR-coded passes will be allowed to enter during this time, ensuring smooth security for the ceremony.

Regular darshan will resume for the public after 2:30 pm, following the flag-hoisting. Given the expected influx of visitors, darshan timings may be extended late into the night. Devotees from other cities are advised to prepare for longer queues and adjusted temple routes.

The day following the event will have an extended darshan window of nearly 15-16 hours without any VIP movements, accommodating travelers arriving after the ceremony.
