New Delhi, June 3 (NationPress) The second phase of the Prana Pratishtha ceremony at the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi temple in Ayodhya commenced on Tuesday.
Deveshacharya Ji Maharaj of the Siddha Peeth Hanumangarhi shared his excitement about the event, stating, “It brings immense joy to all Sanatanis and followers of Lord Ram. The establishment of the Ram Darbar, representing the divine royal form of Lord Ram, at the sacred site of Lord Ram Lalla's birthplace is a truly auspicious occasion.”
The Ram Darbar Prana Pratishtha ceremony is set to last for three days, concluding on June 5, which coincides with Ganga Dussehra, an extremely auspicious day in the Hindu calendar.
Mahamandaleshwar Vishnu Das Ji Maharaj, who is actively participating in the rituals, stated, “Today marks the beginning of the Prana Pratishtha ceremony for Ram Darbar, running for three days. I visited the Ram Temple at 5 a.m. this morning. Lord Ram's idol was anointed with water from the Saryu River, and worship is currently in progress.”
On Monday, a grand ceremonial procession was initiated from the banks of the Saryu River as a precursor to the Prana Pratishtha. This procession attracted large crowds of devotees and saints.
Security measures have been significantly enhanced throughout Ayodhya. The temple complex has been designated as a red zone. Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) commandos, armored vehicles, and three-shift surveillance teams are deployed to maintain peace and safety during the ceremonies.
According to temple officials, this phase of rituals will include the consecration of the Ram Darbar on the temple's first floor, along with six other temples situated within the complex.
A similar three-day celebration took place on January 11, marking the first anniversary of the original 'pran pratishtha' conducted on January 22 last year. This event was led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and attracted lakhs of devotees.
