New Delhi, April 29 (NationPress) The Ministry of Ayush is preparing to host the National Ayush Mission (NAM) Conclave 2025, aimed at redefining the future of Ayush-based healthcare in India.
Scheduled to occur at Kaivalyadham in Lonavala, Maharashtra, the event will take place from May 1-2.
According to Prataprao Jadhav, Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) of the Ministry of Ayush, "The National Ayush Mission Conclave is a crucial move towards fostering a collaborative ecosystem to enhance the wellness and healthcare infrastructure nationwide."
The conclave will gather Ayush experts, policymakers, health professionals, researchers, and innovators to advance the integration of traditional Indian medicine systems into mainstream healthcare, making wellness more accessible, affordable, and evidence-based for all.
Participants will discuss the latest advancements, research innovations, and sectoral collaborations within Ayurveda, Yoga, Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha, Sowa-Rigpa, and Homoeopathy across various states and Union Territories in India.
The event will also aim to bolster the execution of flagship initiatives, promote evidence-based practices, and enhance international engagement.
Additionally, ministerial discussions will take place to strategize the future expansion of the NAM Scheme.
Vaidya Rajesh Kotecha, Secretary of the Ministry of Ayush, stated, "The NAM Conclave-2025 aims to reflect on the successes of the National Ayush Mission, tackle emerging challenges, and pave the way for a self-reliant and robust Ayush healthcare system."
Kavita Garg, Joint Secretary at the Ministry of Ayush, noted that the conclave will encompass diverse themes, including financial management, monitoring and evaluation, HR strengthening, integration with modern medicine, and quality assurance. It will also highlight best practices, IT innovations, regulatory frameworks, as well as investment and export opportunities through rich experience sharing from States and UTs.
During the conclave, the Ministry is also anticipated to unveil the Blueprint for Ayush Policy 2025 and Standard Treatment Guidelines (STG) on Metabolic Disorders within the Ayush System of Medicines.
The flagship initiative, National Ayush Mission, initiated in 2014, has significantly contributed to preserving and promoting India's traditional medical systems and their assimilation into the mainstream healthcare framework.
It seeks to improve the availability, accessibility, and quality of Ayush healthcare services across the nation through Ayushman Arogya Mandir (Ayush) as part of the Government of India’s Ayushman Bharat scheme.
