Patna, March 6 (NationPress) Renowned spiritual leader Pandit Dhirendra Krishna Shastri, widely known as Baba Bageshwar, is set to arrive in Gopalganj, Bihar for a five-day spiritual gathering at the historic Ram Janki Math in Ramnagar starting Thursday.

His stay will continue until March 10 as he addresses followers through Hanuman Katha and Divya Darbar.

“We encourage devotees to join the Satsang and receive blessings from Bageshwar Sarkar,” stated Hemkant Sharan Ji Maharaj, the Mathadheesh of Ram Janki Math.

According to Lal Babu, the local Sarpanch and event organizer, “Ram Janki Math is of immense significance, as it is believed that Lord Ram himself rested here after his wedding to Mata Janaki.”

This revered site in Ramnagar of Bhore block is thought to be where Lord Ram took a respite following his wedding ceremony in Janakpur, Mithila. Over the years, it has evolved into a major location for worship and devotion.

“All necessary arrangements have been made to welcome thousands of attendees anticipated at the event. The atmosphere is vibrant with religious zeal as the region prepares for divine teachings led by Baba Bageshwar,” Lal Babu remarked.

Dhirendra Krishna Shastri will conduct a five-day Hanuman Katha and Divya Darbar at the 700-year-old Ram Janki Math, generating tremendous excitement among devotees.

This Math was founded 700 years ago by the ancestors of Hathwa Raj and spans over 60 bighas of land, though some portions have been encroached. The palanquin of Janaki from Mithila has been preserved here, leading to the area being called Janaki Nagar. The Math has established 52 branches across the nation.

Renovations were undertaken by Mathadhis Hemkant Sharan Ji Maharaj in 1991, and an Atirudra Maha Yagya was conducted in 2024 with 2,100 South Indian Brahmins participating. During this event, a Bhagwat Katha was presented by Mahamandaleshwar Jagatguru Dwarakacharya Ji Maharaj.

Extensive preparations have been finalized for Baba Bageshwar’s visit. A pandal has been constructed on the 60-acre grounds, providing seating for up to 200,000 devotees. A new facility was built in just six months for Baba Bageshwar’s accommodation.

The Central government has granted him Y-Category security, and local authorities are on high alert. Originally invited in 2024, he was unable to attend due to security concerns. His presence is expected to draw millions of devotees.
