Balrampur, Feb 19 (NationPress) The Narendra Modi administration at the Centre has introduced numerous welfare initiatives designed to assist the populace and different segments of society. One such initiative is the "Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi", which has proven to be significantly advantageous for farmers in the Balrampur district of Chhattisgarh.
Farmers in Balrampur who are benefiting from this initiative express their satisfaction with the assistance they receive. Through this scheme, farmers obtain three payments of Rs 2,000 each year. They utilize these funds for agricultural purposes. Farmers residing in rural areas have reported that this initiative has been extremely helpful, providing them with timely financial support to conduct farming operations. The funds are allocated for purchasing fertilizers and seeds necessary for farming.
Robinson Sudhir Kujur, the Deputy Director of Agriculture in Balrampur, stated, "The Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi initiative commenced in 2018. To date, 65,830 farmers have enrolled in this program within the district. Farmers receive Rs 6,000 in three payments annually, transferred via DBT (Direct Benefit Transfer). With this money, they can acquire fertilizers, seeds, or agricultural equipment as required."
Farmer Mukesh Kumar shared, "My father consistently receives funds through the Kisan Samman Nidhi. This financial support enables us to buy fertilizers and seeds. This initiative from the Modi government is immensely beneficial and is aiding farmers nationwide. We have already received 17-18 payments thus far."
Another farmer, Mantu, expressed, "We gain substantial benefits from the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi. Occasionally, we face financial shortages, and in those instances, the funds we receive from the initiative assist us in purchasing fertilizers and seeds. The funds are directly deposited into our bank account. A heartfelt thank you to PM Modi for this support."
Farmer Manmat added, "As of now, we have received 18 payments from this initiative. We no longer need to take out loans when we require funds. The scheme offers us immense convenience. We are grateful to the government for this assistance."
