New Delhi, Dec 5 (NationPress) Just one day after the passing of renowned lawyer and former Governor of Mizoram, Swaraj Kaushal, his daughter, MP Bansuri Swaraj, carried out the sacred ritual of immersing his ashes in the Ganga at Garh Mukteshwar on Friday.
Kaushal, who was a respected legal expert and the spouse of the late Union Minister Sushma Swaraj, died on Thursday afternoon, leading to a significant outpouring of condolences from leaders and peers within the legal and political communities.
His final rites took place on Thursday evening at the Lodhi Road Crematorium, where numerous dignitaries came to honor his memory.
Among those expressing sorrow were Prime Minister Narendra Modi, BJP President J.P. Nadda, and Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla, who reflected on his contributions to public service and his dignified role in national matters.
