Rashtriya Loktantrik Party (RLP) chief and Nagaur MP Hanuman Beniwal abruptly walked out of a party event in Churu district, Rajasthan, on Sunday night after repeated interruptions by a group of youths forced him to abandon his address mid-speech. A video of Beniwal throwing the microphone onto the stage before storming off has since gone viral, sparking political discussion across the state.

What Happened at the Chhapar Event

The incident occurred during the inauguration of an RLP office on Ratangarh Road in Chhapar town, scheduled for 7.15 pm on Sunday. Beniwal arrived at the venue at around 11.30 pm, by which time an estimated 4,000–5,000 people had gathered. He spoke for approximately 40–45 minutes before the situation deteriorated.

As he addressed party workers and supporters, a section of youths in the audience repeatedly shouted and created noise, disrupting the proceedings. Beniwal initially urged them to maintain discipline, saying, 'Have you ever seen a leader? Why are you behaving like this?' He made multiple appeals for calm before his patience ran out.

Beniwal's Warning and Final Exit

Growing visibly frustrated, Beniwal issued a pointed warning from the stage: 'I will not come here again. I am leaving without delivering the speech. It's not as if you are going to cast your votes tomorrow morning. You are only wasting people's time.' He also questioned whether the disruptors had been sent by opposition forces, asking, 'Did someone from the opposition send you? Who are these people? Why haven't the organisers stopped them?'

Moments later, he threw the microphone onto the stage and walked off, leaving party workers and attendees visibly stunned. He left without completing the programme.

Criticism of Event Organisers

Before his exit, Beniwal also directed sharp criticism at the event's organisers for failing to maintain order. He questioned why school-going children had been seated at a programme running well past midnight, and said the organisers bore responsibility for ensuring discipline before inviting him to speak.

During the portion of his speech delivered before the disruption, Beniwal touched on Churu district's political landscape, claiming the district had been the source of several of his political confrontations across Rajasthan. He said he had stood with the people of Churu during difficult times while other leaders subsequently aligned with either the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) or the Indian National Congress (Congress).

The viral video has made the episode a focal point of political commentary in Rajasthan, with observers noting that public disruptions of this kind are unusual at RLP gatherings.
