Jaipur, July 9 (NationPress) The head of the Rashtriya Loktantrik Party (RLP) and MP from Nagaur, Hanuman Beniwal, has expressed his discontent towards the Rajasthan government regarding the ongoing protest at Shaheed Smarak. This protest, which has now extended into its 77th day, marks a significant milestone as the longest protest recorded at this location.
According to Beniwal, the youth-driven movement has reached a pivotal stage. He claimed that the state government led by Bhajanlal Sharma is now cornered and that victory for the young protesters is on the horizon.
Beniwal remarked, “This issue has become a significant challenge for Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma — he faces a choice between nullifying the SI recruitment to protect his position, or facing inevitable removal from office.”
He further criticized both Congress and BJP for their apparent disregard for youth issues and unemployment. “These political parties are engaged in trivial politics while neglecting the genuine worries of the unemployed population. The Rashtriya Loktantrik Party is committed to ensuring justice for the youth,” he stated.
Beniwal firmly declared that those accountable for the RPSC paper leak and irregularities in the reorganization process will face severe consequences.
He asserted, “The movement is garnering immense public backing and will soon shatter the government’s resistance.”
In light of the recent events in Riyan Badi, Nagaur, Beniwal condemned the violence perpetrated by the gravel mafia, where unarmed villagers attempting to halt illegal mining were tragically run over. “The shocking images that surfaced are not mere accidents; they reflect a serious failure of the state’s law enforcement and governance,” he said.
He accused the Nagaur SP of instigating false charges against locals to exert undue pressure on them, while senior officials have failed to honor commitments made during the recent public rally.
Beniwal warned that the gravel mafia continues to operate unchecked, aided by the administration’s silence, which poses a grave threat to safety and legality in the area. “In their quest for gravel, the mafia is jeopardizing lives, and the government’s inaction amounts to complicity,” he concluded.
Beniwal plans to meet with the Director General of Rajasthan Police on Thursday to formally address the issues and demand stringent action.
