Jaipur, May 2 (NationPress) Following a sit-in demonstration by Rashtriya Loktantrik Party (RLP) MP Hanuman Beniwal, who is advocating for the reorganization of the Rajasthan Public Service Commission (RPSC) and the annulment of the Sub-Inspector (SI) recruitment process, State Minister and senior BJP leader K.K. Vishnoi launched a fierce criticism against Beniwal, labeling him as the most untrustworthy figure in the political landscape of Rajasthan.
Vishnoi contended that Beniwal's political journey has been characterized by opportunistic changes in loyalty.
“Beniwal is adept at changing sides, but his options have now run dry. In his desperation, he is deceiving the youth to maintain political relevance and stay in the media limelight. His unfounded accusations against political figures are merely a strategy to attract attention,” he stated.
Referring to recent electoral results, the Minister remarked, “In the previous by-elections, the public showed him the truth. His deceit and insincerity have been laid bare, and the youth no longer hold him in trust. Attendance at his rallies has significantly declined.”
Vishnoi also pointed out that the SI recruitment examination took place during the tenure of the Congress government, a period when Beniwal was affiliated with Congress and chose to remain silent.
“Now he is leveraging the emotions of the youth solely to safeguard his waning political significance,” the Minister asserted.
“At times, he makes unfounded statements against leaders, and at other times, he targets women without any factual basis. Beniwal’s political strategies won’t succeed under BJP governance—his so-called 'alliances' have come to an end,” Vishnoi emphasized.
Former state BJP President Ashok Parnami responded to MP Hanuman Beniwal’s recent comments by reaffirming the BJP’s dedication to ethical politics.
“The Bharatiya Janata Party prioritizes integrity in politics. All political figures should adhere to the same principles. However, Hanuman Beniwal is making groundless claims merely to remain in the headlines, which is regrettable and misleading,” Parnami stated.
Highlighting the BJP's measures against corruption, the former State BJP President added, “In our election manifesto, we committed to the youth of Rajasthan to take stringent action against the paper leak mafia. In just 16 months, the Bhajan Lal Sharma-led state government has fulfilled this promise by imprisoning over 292 individuals involved in paper leak incidents.”
He further noted, “Moreover, 92 public servants found complicit in these leaks have also faced termination and incarceration. This showcases our zero-tolerance stance towards corruption and our commitment to securing the future of our youth.”
Earlier on Friday, Beniwal was apprehended by the Jaipur Police while attempting to march towards the Chief Minister's residence to advocate for youth-related demands, including the reorganization of the RPSC and cancellation of the SI Recruitment Examination.
Beniwal and his supporters were obstructed outside the Police Commissionerate, where they briefly staged a sit-in.
When they sought to advance further, police detained them and transported them to the Sanganer Sadar police station. The group protested there against the state government.
Speaking to the media, Beniwal stated, “We have been protesting in Jaipur for the past seven days, demanding the reorganization of the RPSC and cancellation of the SI recruitment examination, which is tainted with corruption. Two RPSC members are already incarcerated, and the Special Operation Group continues to apprehend fraudulent candidates. Yet, the government remains silent, particularly after the names of Ministers surfaced in the case.”
He accused both Congress and BJP of complicity, questioning the silence of Congress leaders such as Sachin Pilot and Ashok Gehlot.
“All these scams transpired during Gehlot's administration. I challenge Kirori Lal Meena to respond, as he previously raised these same concerns,” Beniwal added.
The RLP MP also claimed that State Minister K.K. Vishnoi is implicated in the recruitment scandal and demanded an investigation into his residence, known as the ‘White House’.
“I am stating facts. The Minister’s silence speaks volumes,” he expressed.
Declaring his determination, Beniwal proclaimed, “I am prepared to endure any hardship for the youth. This is a do-or-die struggle. If our demands are unmet, we will escalate our protest. We are ready to mobilize one lakh supporters to Jaipur, block all state highways, and exert pressure on the government until justice is achieved.”
