Jaipur, July 5 (NationPress) Rajasthan Congress Chief Govind Singh Dotasra on Saturday criticized the BJP government for displaying political hostility and misusing constitutional bodies for personal vendetta.
In response to the power disconnection at MP Hanuman Beniwal’s government residence and the eviction notice issued to him, Dotasra remarked, “They have cut the electricity at Beniwal’s home; yet, at my residence, they had the ED come knocking.”
“This illustrates their political malice. The BJP operates out of hatred, unjustly targeting leaders like Hanuman Beniwal and myself. This behavior is both unconstitutional and unacceptable,” he asserted.
While speaking at the state Congress headquarters, Dotasra boldly predicted that Bhajan Lal Sharma would not be able to serve as Chief Minister for five years. “While the BJP government may complete its term, internal rifts will inevitably lead to a leadership change,” he stated.
He further articulated that Rajasthan is currently enduring the consequences of the BJP’s ineffective governance.
“There’s an atmosphere of indecision, and the Chief Minister is inadequate. Governance is in the hands of individuals unfit to lead,” he declared.
In a jab at the establishment of the OBC Commission, he claimed the government has squandered a year and a half.
“What were they doing, munching on snacks and sipping lassi? The Supreme Court has explicitly stated that Panchayat elections cannot proceed without OBC data, yet they are now delaying polls until 2027 through delimitation,” he said.
Dotasra also charged the BJP with evading local body elections to escape public accountability.
“If Panchayats gain strength, the public will begin to question development, which is something the BJP dreads,” he explained.
Dotasra also announced a significant campaign, stating that District Congress Committees will convene next week, followed by a statewide protest against the BJP government.
“We will engage with the public at the booth, block, and city levels to unveil the truth about this government,” he concluded.
