Lucknow, Dec 20 (NationPress) The workforce and residents of Aligarh district in Uttar Pradesh have expressed their enthusiastic support for the central government’s ‘VB G RAM G Bill’—Viksit Bharat-Guarantee for Rozgar and Ajeevika Mission (Gramin) Bill, which has recently been approved by Parliament.

They regard it as a significant advancement that aims to bolster the welfare of the labourers.

The workers interviewed by IANS mentioned that the initiative prioritizes their well-being and encompasses various provisions aimed at enhancing employment security.

Villagers conveyed their appreciation to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his administration for introducing a program that addresses the requirements of workers like them.

They indicated that the newly passed bill reflects the government's dedication to labour welfare and comprehensive development.

In their opinion, this initiative illustrates that the Centre is taking tangible steps to protect the interests of farmers and rural communities.

One villager noted that the scheme would greatly benefit workers, highlighting that a pivotal provision of the ‘G Ram G’ program is the increase in guaranteed employment days from 100 to 125, which would significantly enhance livelihood security for rural labourers.

He further mentioned that the scheme also creates opportunities for workers in other states, which they found commendable.

Another villager applauded the initiative, expressing confidence that it would assist workers in securing employment closer to home, thereby reducing the necessity to migrate for work, and thanked the central administration for addressing their concerns.

A worker also expressed gratitude to the Centre for implementing the scheme, stating it would ensure job availability within the state. He emphasized that this initiative would provide relief to countless workers who previously had to travel to other states for employment.

Meanwhile, labourers in Balrampur district have also embraced the scheme. Worker Abhishek Kashyap remarked that the Centre has made a commendable decision by passing this Bill, which will lead to an effective scheme.

He acknowledged that the increase in employment days to 125 would directly benefit workers and commended this move.

Another worker, Asgar Khan, stated that the decision to guarantee 125 days of employment is in the best interest of labourers and deserves recognition.

Kanhaiyalal pointed out that previously, workers received only 100 days of employment under MGNREGA, but the new scheme now guarantees 125 days, for which he expressed gratitude to the Modi government.

Workers Rajpal, Ramgopal, and village chief Shivshankar also welcomed the scheme, stating that the additional employment days would provide enhanced financial stability and security to rural families.
