Patna, June 17 (NationPress) The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) organized a protest in Patna, Bihar, on Tuesday, asserting their commitment to contest all 243 seats in the forthcoming Assembly elections.
AAP leaders, spearheaded by Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh, conducted a sit-in at Gardanibagh, Patna, highlighting concerns about the treatment of Bihari migrants in Delhi and alleged injustices under the BJP administration.
While addressing the media in Patna, Singh launched a fierce critique of the BJP, accusing them of demolishing homes, huts, and shops belonging to Bihari families who have resided in Delhi for decades.
"Bulldozers have been unleashed on the residences of Biharis who have called Delhi home for 40 to 50 years. Despite our persistent appeals, the demolitions persist," claimed Singh.
He urged the citizens of Bihar to take political action: "Those who are driving Biharis out of Delhi, let’s ensure they are ousted from Bihar in the elections. Before elections, the BJP used to inhabit those very huts and promised housing. Now, those same homes are being razed to the ground."
Singh called on Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and BJP leaders in Bihar to advocate for the rights of Bihari migrants facing eviction in Delhi.
"Those who speak of camaraderie and alliances should advocate for our people's dignity. Biharis, UPites, and Purvanchalis were once even referred to as Bangladeshis. We raised this issue in Parliament and will now bring this struggle to every village in Bihar."
In a bold proclamation, Sanjay Singh declared that AAP will contest all 243 assembly seats in Bihar.
"The fight for self-respect will now reach every doorstep, every booth. We will compete in all 243 seats of Bihar," Singh stated.
