New Delhi, June 17 (NationPress) The President of the Delhi BJP, Virendra Sachdeva, expressed his approval on Tuesday regarding the timely inauguration of the Ayushman Arogya Mandirs by the Delhi Government, highlighting that this marks a significant commitment from the BJP's election manifesto being fulfilled.
He emphasized that these high-quality Ayushman Arogya Mandirs align with Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision for delivering excellent and complimentary healthcare services to everyone.
According to Sachdeva, the inauguration of 33 Ayushman Arogya Mandirs initiates a comprehensive plan exceeding Rs 2,400 crore aimed at establishing 1,139 such Mandirs, thereby providing world-class primary healthcare facilities to the residents of Delhi.
The Delhi BJP President noted that the medical services, diagnostics, vaccinations, and maternity care provided by these Ayushman Arogya Mandirs will adhere to international benchmarks.
He remarked that since these Mandirs are set up on government properties, they are devoid of any allegations of corruption, unlike the alleged rent scams during the previous Arvind Kejriwal administration, which saw Mohalla Clinics established in properties owned by party affiliates.
Sachdeva asserted that the Mohalla Clinics from the earlier Kejriwal government were marred by corruption and offered minimal medical services.
He stated that these clinics often functioned from cramped spaces where various patients were grouped together with a doctor, increasing the risk of infections.
Sachdeva insisted that within the next one to one-and-a-half years, this network of Ayushman Arogya Mandirs will extend healthcare services to all segments of society across every area of Delhi.
Earlier, Delhi BJP General Secretary and MP from North West Delhi, Yogendra Chandolia, detailed the achievements of PM Modi's administration over the past 11 years, focusing on good governance and the welfare of the underprivileged, alongside the milestones accomplished within the first 100 days of the Rekha Gupta-led Delhi government and forthcoming developmental initiatives.
Present at the event were Delhi Deputy Mayor Jai Bhagwan Yadav, District Presidents Vinod Sahrawat, Ramchandra Chawariya, and State Spokesperson Shubhendu Shekhar Awasthi.
Chandolia asserted that PM Modi has significantly improved India's global image, citing the safe return of Indian medical students from Ukraine amidst the Russia-Ukraine conflict.
He also pointed out that in 2013, under Sardar Manmohan Singh's leadership, India's economy ranked 10th globally, whereas it now stands at 4th place.
Chandolia highlighted that over 80 crore impoverished individuals are receiving free food grains, and Rs 5 lakh of complimentary medical treatment has been dispensed nationwide.
Previously, Delhi was excluded from this initiative, but with the change in government, it is now benefiting. Additionally, the Rekha Gupta administration has raised this coverage to Rs 10 lakh to ensure that the elderly in Delhi are not reliant on others for healthcare.
The BJP MP criticized the prior Delhi administration led by Kejriwal, stating that while infrastructure has been developed across the nation, Delhi's roads have deteriorated over the past 11 years. However, within just 100 days under the BJP governance, Delhi's roads are beginning to improve.
