New Delhi, Nov 25 (NationPress) The Chief Minister of Delhi, Rekha Gupta, officially inaugurated 70 new Ayushman Arogya Mandirs in various districts throughout the national capital on Tuesday.
Via her social media platform on X, CM Gupta remarked, "Today marks the inauguration of 70 new Ayushman Arogya Mandirs in Shakti Nagar and several other districts of Delhi. The Delhi Government is persistently enhancing the number of Ayushman Arogya Mandirs in the city, as our mission is to deliver superior healthcare services close to your residence and within your community."
She also mentioned that these Ayushman Arogya Mandirs provide complimentary services including routine health check-ups, medical consultations, essential medications, maternal and child health services, vaccinations, preventive healthcare, cervical cancer screenings, and immunizations.
“Under the guidance of our esteemed Prime Minister, Shri @narendramodi, Delhi is progressing towards a healthcare framework where distance is not a hurdle, expenses are not a burden, and healthcare access is not a challenge,” she emphasized.
While discussing broader healthcare initiatives, she noted, “The Ayushman Bharat Yojana, Jan Aushadhi Kendras, Vaya Vandana Yojana, and Ayushman Arogya Mandirs are collectively constructing a healthcare structure in Delhi where every individual has the right to quality treatment, affordable medications, and modern facilities. Access to healthcare is a fundamental right for every family, and this is the commitment of our government.”
She acknowledged the presence of guests and members of the public, including Model Town MLA Ashok Goyal, during the event.
Earlier, addressing the crowd, the Chief Minister reiterated that Ayushman Arogya Mandirs offer a broad spectrum of free health services focused on reinforcing primary healthcare. Her statement emphasized that concerted efforts from various government health initiatives are ensuring timely, affordable, and accessible medical assistance for citizens.
Further speaking at the event, the Chief Minister stated, “In these past 10 months, we have strived to transform the landscape of Delhi.” She recounted her visits to the area, noting the persistent issues with damaged roads and criticized previous administrations for their inaction in enhancing basic infrastructure, which left the city in a state of neglect.
She posed a question to the audience, “Over the past 10–11 years, did your former MLA ever reach out to you like this? Did they ever take such initiatives?”
Addressing the prior ‘Mohalla Clinic’ model, Chief Minister Gupta remarked, “Previous governments have long promoted the concept of ‘Mohalla Clinics,’ but how many citizens genuinely benefited from them?”
“There were massive banners and promotions, but in reality, very little substantive work was done. There were no medications, no physicians, and no staff available,” she asserted.
“Today, step into an Arogya Mandir and witness it for yourself. Each Arogya Mandir operates like your primary hospital,” she concluded.
