What Achievements Did Delhi BJP President Virendra Sachdeva Highlight About Rekha Gupta's Government in Its First Year?
Synopsis
Key Takeaways
New Delhi, Feb 20 (NationPress) Delhi BJP President Virendra Sachdeva expressed his appreciation for the Rekha Gupta administration as it marks its first anniversary in governance. He pointed out that while the Arvind Kejriwal-led government has been embroiled in controversies surrounding “Mohalla Clinics,” the BJP government has successfully established 100 Ayushman Arogya Mandirs.
Sachdeva remarked that during the previous Assembly elections, the citizens of Delhi had pledged to cleanse the city of corruption and bring the BJP to power by February 8, 2025.
He took pride in the fact that after 27 years, a compassionate BJP government has assumed control, diligently addressing the public's concerns.
Although Chief Minister Gupta has shared numerous government accomplishments with the public, Sachdeva emphasized the administration's commitment to accountability.
The BJP government is dedicated to being answerable to the citizens on all matters and intends to uphold this principle, he noted.
Sachdeva highlighted that over the last 30 years, both the Congress and AAP administrations had severely neglected the city's sewer system.
In new areas like Kirari, mishandling during sewer installation and maintenance led to waterlogging even during light rain. Nonetheless, the attentive BJP government managed to improve the situation within its inaugural year, showing significant progress during the last monsoon.
He further stated that during the 11 years of the Kejriwal administration, Delhi's public transport suffered greatly. In contrast, the BJP government has introduced nearly 1,000 new electric buses for the residents of Delhi in just one year.
Additionally, the BJP government launched 25 Atal Canteens for citizens on Thursday, which brings the total to 71 new canteens, with plans to exceed 150 soon.
In line with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s commitment, the BJP administration will provide free gas cylinders to underprivileged families in Delhi starting this Holi.
Moreover, by increasing the maternity scheme amount, the Delhi Government has fulfilled another pledge made by the Prime Minister.
Sachdeva expressed astonishment at the former Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia, who has been absent for almost a year, holding a press conference on Friday.
“The public is curious about his whereabouts during this time,” remarked the Delhi BJP chief.
He added that as a Delhi Minister, Sisodia acted more like a “collection inspector” and has been exploiting the people of Punjab over the past year.
