Is AAP's New Slogan a Total Flop? Virendra Sachdeva Weighs In
Synopsis
Key Takeaways
New Delhi, Feb 22 (NationPress) Delhi BJP President Virendra Sachdeva remarked on Sunday that the Aam Aadmi Party's latest slogan and campaign - "Delhi in distress, remembering Kejriwal" - is nothing short of a total failure.
The Delhi BJP President emphasized that during the 11 years of Arvind Kejriwal's leadership, the AAP has left the capital's roads, public transport, environment, sewerage system, and ration card services in a deplorable state.
He stated that within just its first year, the BJP government headed by Chief Minister Rekha Gupta has made significant strides in improving sewer and road conditions and has rolled out effective measures to combat environmental pollution.
Policy initiatives are underway to abolish fraudulent ration cards and ensure that genuine beneficiaries receive their rightful ration cards, he asserted.
According to Sachdeva, in its inaugural year, the BJP government has introduced 2,000 electric buses for Delhi's citizens.
He highlighted that the government has also delivered on another promise made by Prime Minister Narendra Modi by providing free gas cylinders to underprivileged women during Holi and Diwali, alongside the introduction of Pink Bus Cards and enhanced maternity benefits.
Furthermore, he mentioned that the Delhi BJP government is designating between Rs 100 to Rs 125 crore in development funds for each Assembly constituency, which will soon facilitate thorough and effective development across all regions.
Sachdeva expressed that during the last Assembly elections, the people of Delhi resolved to cleanse the city of its issues with the broom and to elect the BJP to power on February 8, 2025.
He voiced satisfaction that after 27 years, a compassionate BJP government has taken charge, addressing public grievances promptly.
The BJP government holds itself accountable and remains responsive to the populace on all matters, he promised.
The Delhi BJP President pointed out that over the past 30 years, both the Congress and AAP administrations have devastated the sewer systems.
In new areas like Kirari, he noted that scams occurred in the installation and maintenance of sewer lines, which caused waterlogging even with light rain. However, the diligent BJP government managed to rectify the situation within its first year, leading to noticeable improvements during the last monsoon season.
