Delhi BJP Dismisses Kejriwal's Development Vision as Absurd

New Delhi, Dec 15 (NationPress) In a strong rebuttal to AAP convenor Arvind Kejriwal’s assertion of possessing a developmental vision for the capital and a capable team, the Delhi BJP claimed on Sunday that the former chief minister has made Delhi the most polluted capital globally.

Delhi BJP President Virendra Sachdeva stated: "It is not an exaggeration to assert that Kejriwal’s corrupt vision and teamwork have turned Delhi into a prime example of water and air pollution, poor roads, and dysfunctional transport and health systems."

He further remarked, "The Yamuna now resembles a drain," highlighting the severe environmental degradation under Kejriwal’s governance.

According to Sachdeva, the most significant achievements of Kejriwal's teamwork include corruption scandals like the infamous "Sheesh Mahal" bungalow and the liquor scam.

“Perhaps it is due to this 'remarkable teamwork and vision' that this year, over 62 innocent lives were lost during the monsoon due to waterlogging and electrocution on Delhi’s roads,” he added.

Sachdeva accused Kejriwal’s team of engaging in malpractice regarding classroom and hospital construction, claiming that facilities were erected without adequate planning for operating theaters or medical personnel.

He noted that the Delhi Jal Board, which previously provided a dividend of approximately Rs 500 crore annually, is now facing a staggering Rs 70,000 crore deficit. Concurrently, both government and private power firms are imposing inflated electricity bills on Delhi residents.

Sachdeva emphasized that the incompetence of this so-called "educated" team is evident as no new schools or colleges have been established in the past decade.

“Current schools lack the infrastructure to teach science and commerce, and due to delayed payments, Delhi’s government college instructors are on strike for almost eight months each year,” he explained.

Kejriwal has also been criticized for his failure in public transportation, as Delhi requires 11,000 public buses, but only 5,000 are currently operational. Of these, 3,000 CNG buses are over a decade old and in poor condition, according to the Delhi BJP chief.

“Under this ‘visionary’ governance, Delhi’s roads are now worse than those in Bihar during the 1990s,” Sachdeva remarked.

Meanwhile, Praveen Shankar Kapoor, the media head and spokesperson for the Delhi BJP, has reached out to Kejriwal, highlighting two viral video clips allegedly featuring Janakpuri’s sitting MLA Rajesh Rishi and the party’s declared candidate, municipal councillor Praveen Kumar.

In one clip, MLA Rishi accuses his party's councillor Praveen Kumar of being corrupt, inefficient, and a "lantern mafia". In another video, purportedly showing councillor Praveen Kumar, he labels MLA Rishi as "arrogant, inefficient, and unpopular".
