New Delhi, May 30 (NationPress) Delhi BJP President Virendraa Sachdeva praised the accomplishments of Chief Minister Rekha Gupta during her initial 100 days in office, highlighting the administration's 'sensitive' governance.
"The foremost achievement of her administration is that now the people of Delhi recognize the presence of a responsive government, unlike the previous 11 years where governance was merely a publicity stunt," expressed Sachdeva.
Accompanying a poster on CM Gupta's 'performance sans excuses', the State BJP President remarked, "The AAP leaders lack the moral authority to criticize the BJP government, and they must respond to five essential questions before engaging in any debate with us."
Sachdeva presented five inquiries to the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leaders, emphasizing that those questioning the BJP government after only 100 days should explain why the AAP administration didn’t implement the women's pension scheme pledged in the 2024-25 Budget for an entire year.
"Moreover, the AAP had pledged a women's pension initiative in its 2022 Punjab election manifesto — why hasn’t this scheme been initiated even after three years?" the Delhi BJP Chief questioned.
He further queried why the AAP government jeopardized the futures of numerous youths by employing them as bus marshals and in contract roles without administrative approval, only to dismiss them during investigations.
Another significant question posed was, "If the BJP government could commence work on the long-term regulation of private schools by drafting the Delhi Education Act within just two months, why was the AAP unable to accomplish this in 11 years?"
Sachdeva asserted that had the AAP taken decisive measures, issues like exorbitant school fees would not have persisted.
He noted that under AAP’s governance, countless housing units constructed in Narela and Bawana for low-income families have fallen into disrepair.
"Why have these not been allocated? Was this merely a strategy to sustain a votebank in unauthorized colonies?" he queried.
Additionally, he criticized AAP leaders for disseminating misinformation regarding the termination of public welfare schemes under the BJP government.
"Which public welfare scheme has the BJP government ceased? Citizens continue to benefit from subsidies on electricity and water, as well as free bus travel for women. AAP must specify which scheme has been discontinued," he stated.
