Among the injured were five individuals, including Lauriya Station House Officer (SHO) Ramesh Kumar Sharma and Circle Officer (CO) Nitesh Kumar Seth.

All those wounded have been taken to a nearby health facility for appropriate treatment.

Sources indicate that the incident is connected to Case No. 109/2025–26, involving a land contention between Manoj Jaiswal and Banshraj Ram concerning approximately two acres of land.

Responding to instructions from the Land Reforms Deputy Collector (LRDC), an administrative team arrived in Dubaulia village on Saturday to perform a land survey.

As the survey began, members from one side of the dispute started protesting, leading to an escalation into violence.

It is reported that the assailants struck the administrative team with sticks and various weapons, resulting in injuries to several officials and personnel.

During the unrest, miscreants also set a house ablaze.

As the situation quickly worsened, the administrative team was compelled to retreat before completing the survey.

Police presence has been intensified, and senior administrative officials are closely observing the situation.

The administration has committed to taking stringent legal measures against those accountable.

The process of filing an FIR has commenced, and efforts are being made to identify and apprehend the individuals involved in the attack.
