Patna, Sep 30 (NationPress) A team representing Jan Suraaj visited Raj Bhavan on Tuesday to deliver a memorandum urging action against Bihar's Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary due to allegations of age manipulation and criminal activity.

The delegation, which included National President Uday Singh, State President Manoj Bharti, senior leader Rambali Chandravanshi, and State General Secretary Kishore Kumar, was slated to meet with Governor Arif Mohammad Khan.

However, their scheduled meeting was thwarted as the team could only deliver their memorandum and a letter intended for Prime Minister Narendra Modi to the Governor’s Principal Secretary.

Speaking to reporters outside Raj Bhavan, Singh expressed optimism that their demands would be relayed to the central government.

“We have complete trust in the Central Government and Prime Minister Modi that necessary actions will be taken against Deputy CM Samrat Chaudhary and that justice will prevail,” Singh stated.

Jan Suraaj alleges that Samrat Chaudhary, whose birth name is reportedly Rakesh Kumar, falsified his age in legal documents to evade prosecution linked to the 1995 Tarapur massacre (Tarapur PS Case No. 44/1995), where six fatalities occurred.

The memorandum indicates that in 1996, Chaudhary allegedly submitted a counterfeit school certificate to assert he was a minor (under 16) to secure bail.

In 1999, he was dismissed from the position of Agriculture Minister by the then Governor after a petition revealed he was under the legal age of 25 for holding a ministerial position.

In 2000, his election to the Parbatta Assembly was contested, and in 2003, the Supreme Court ruled that the documents he submitted to prove his age were fraudulent, resulting in the annulment of his election.

Despite this, he allegedly continued to present contradictory age claims, stating he was 28 in 2010 and 51 in 2020, while Supreme Court observations imply he should have been under 40 in 2020 if his 1996 declaration was true.

The memorandum asserts that these inconsistencies indicate a systematic attempt to deceive in order to evade criminal charges and maintain political influence.

Jan Suraaj is calling for the removal of Samrat Chaudhary from his role as Deputy Chief Minister.

They demand his arrest in connection with the murder and robbery case.

This entire situation should be investigated under the auspices of the High Court to preserve public trust in the judicial process.

The Deputy Chief Minister has previously dismissed all allegations, labeling them as politically motivated and a tactic to garner media attention.
