Patna, April 23 (NationPress) Bihar Minister Santosh Singh on Wednesday held Pakistan-based conspirators accountable for the terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir's Pahalgam that resulted in the loss of 26 lives.

Minister Singh stated: "Those responsible for this conspiracy and anyone who assisted them, whether through logistics or providing shelter, will face severe repercussions. The era of tolerance has ended. We will not permit such individuals to remain at large."

RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav condemned the terror attack and urged for immediate and strict measures against the perpetrators.

Engaging with the media in Patna, Tejashwi remarked, "We never anticipated that terrorists would target tourists. My deepest sympathies go out to all families who have lost loved ones. Justice must be served promptly to those who executed this vile act of terror."

He further emphasized, "We demand an exhaustive investigation and severe penalties for the culprits. Pahalgam is recognized as a high-security area. If such a crime can occur there, it raises significant concerns regarding security lapses. It is essential to investigate how this incident transpired," he added.

Tejashwi also drew parallels with the Pulwama attack, noting that the investigation report from that incident remains undisclosed.

"We do not want history to repeat itself. The public deserves transparency and outcomes," he asserted.

Authorities are actively investigating the Pahalgam terror incident, while security measures in the region have been intensified.

The attack has been claimed by The Resistance Front (TRF), a faction and proxy of the Pakistan-based terrorist group Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT).

In their announcement, TRF expressed discontent over the resettlement of over 85,000 non-local Indians in Jammu and Kashmir, asserting it was part of a so-called "demographic invasion." They presented the attack as a reaction to India's policies following the abrogation of Article 370 in 2019.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi remarked that the terror attack has strengthened the nation's determination to eliminate terrorism from Indian territory.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah traveled to Srinagar for a high-level security review, promising the "harshest punishment" for the attackers. HM Shah also paid respects to the tourists who lost their lives in the terror attack.
