Patna, Nov 10 (NationPress) The second phase of polling for the Bihar Assembly elections is set to commence at 7 a.m. on Tuesday, November 11, featuring 1,302 candidates vying for 122 constituencies.

Among these candidates, 1,165 are male, 136 are female, and there is one candidate representing the third gender.

The primary battle is between the NDA and the Grand Alliance, though the AIMIM and Jan Suraj Party are also in the race for certain seats.

In this phase, 101 of the 122 Assembly constituencies are General seats, while 19 are reserved for Scheduled Castes and 2 for Scheduled Tribes.

The Election Commission of India (ECI) has confirmed that all necessary arrangements are in place for a peaceful and smooth polling experience.

According to the Commission's data, there are 3,70,13,556 registered electors in this phase, which includes 10,21,812 new voters.

Of these, 1,95,56,899 electors are male, including 5,28,954 new male electors added post SIR.

In contrast, 1,70,68,572 female voters are registered, with 4,92,839 newly added female voters.

Furthermore, there are 943 third-gender voters, 90 of whom are newly registered.

Notably, 7,69,356 electors belong to the 18-19 age group, marking their first opportunity to vote in an Assembly election.
