Patna, Oct 25 (NationPress) Union Home Minister Amit Shah is scheduled to campaign in three significant districts of Bihar this Saturday as the state prepares for the forthcoming Assembly elections. His itinerary includes a meeting in Khagaria at 11 a.m., followed by a visit to Munger at 12 p.m., and a public address in Bihar Sharif at 3 p.m.
To maintain security and ensure smooth traffic flow during Shah's visit, the local administration has implemented extensive measures, including a complete prohibition on the movement of both heavy and light vehicles on various routes leading to the Labour Welfare Centre grounds, where one of the major events is set to take place.
The day prior, on Friday, Shah launched a fierce critique against RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav and the Mahagathbandhan (Grand Alliance) during a large public meeting in Siwan, accusing them of trying to reintroduce the “jungle raj” era in Bihar.
Shah explained that he selected Siwan for his first major rally due to the district's significant historical and political relevance.
“Lalu Yadav has made it clear by granting a ticket to Shahabuddin's son that he wishes to restore the 'jungle raj' to Bihar. The citizens of Siwan are well aware of how Shahabuddin left this land drenched in blood through 75 brutal murders. By nominating his son, Lalu Yadav aims to instill fear once more. This clearly indicates that the Mahagathbandhan intends to plunge Bihar back into the darkness of lawlessness, while the NDA, by endorsing Anand Mishra (Retired IPS), is steering the state towards effective governance,” Shah stated.
He expressed optimism that the NDA, led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, would successfully reclaim power following the elections on November 14.
Reflecting on the terror that once enveloped Siwan under Shahabuddin's rule, Shah remarked, “The people of Siwan endured great suffering during the jungle raj yet never yielded. They previously ended that dark chapter, and today I assure them — this is Modi and Nitish's Bihar. No matter how many Shahabuddins arise, they cannot inflict harm anymore.”
Commending Nitish Kumar's leadership, Shah noted, “The end of jungle raj is Nitish Kumar's greatest achievement. He liberated Bihar from fear and chaos.”
Honoring Siwan's rich historical legacy, Shah concluded, “This land is home to Rajendra Babu (Dr. Rajendra Prasad), India's first President and Chairman of the Constituent Assembly. Mahatma Gandhi and Madan Mohan Malaviya also visited Siwan during their Champaran expedition. I pay my respects to this revered soil.”
