Patna, Nov 12 (NationPress) Tejashwi Yadav, the chief ministerial candidate for the Grand Alliance, proclaimed on Wednesday that the Mahagathbandhan will establish the government in Bihar following the results on November 14, outright dismissing exit poll predictions that lean towards the NDA.
During a press conference held at his official residence in Patna, Tejashwi highlighted that voter turnout for this election has significantly increased compared to 2020, with over 72 lakh more individuals participating.
“This represents a substantial increase in voters. The polling percentage has surged by nearly 10 percentage points compared to the previous election, equating to approximately 29,000 additional votes at every polling station. These votes are aimed at altering the government,” he stated.
Tejashwi mentioned that feedback from the ground suggests an even stronger performance than in 1995, anticipating a clear victory for the Grand Alliance.
“Change is imminent in Bihar -- the electorate has voted for transformation. BJP leaders are anxious as they recognize the impending defeat. The Grand Alliance is dominating this election, and we will take our oath on November 18,” he asserted.
He rejected the exit polls published on Tuesday, questioning their methodology and accusing various news outlets of bias.
“What significance do these exit polls hold? What was their sample size? I suspect they were directed by Amit Shah to favor the NDA. Many channels previously predicted over 400 seats for the NDA in the Lok Sabha and made forecasts in West Bengal and Jharkhand that did not come true,” he remarked, adding that such polls exert pressure on officials.
Tejashwi vowed that his team would remain vigilant from the strong rooms to the counting centers.
“Your tactics will not succeed in Bihar, the land of democracy. We are alert and will not permit vote manipulation,” he declared.
Additionally, he criticized the deployment of central security forces, alleging that the central government orchestrated flag marches to exert pressure on officers in Bihar.
“They conducted flag marches here -- measures they would avoid in Delhi after the blast -- solely to impose pressure on officers here,” he claimed.
