Patna, June 28 (NationPress) In the midst of sporadic monsoon downpours, lightning strikes tragically resulted in the death of two individuals and left two others injured in Gaya district, Bihar, on Saturday.
In the Guraru block, Dinesh Yadav (40), a resident of Daulata village, lost his life after being struck by lightning near Bhaduki village while on his way back from Rafiganj in Aurangabad. His sudden passing has plunged his family into deep sorrow.
Separately, in Pandey Pokhar village of Guraru, Rohit Kumar (14), son of Ramesh Manjhi, was killed instantly by a lightning strike while tending to cattle in a desolate field.
“Reports confirm that two individuals have died due to lightning strikes. One body has been sent to Magadh Medical College Hospital for an autopsy, while efforts are underway to recover the other deceased for the same purpose. The police are proceeding with further investigations,” stated the SHO of Guraru Police.
In a related occurrence within the Aams block, a lightning strike damaged a temple, injuring two nearby residents.
The injured have been identified as Suhana Parveen (12) and Jaimala Devi (30).
Both are receiving treatment at the Primary Health Centre in Aams and are reported to be in stable condition.
