New Delhi, June 28 (NationPress) A woman has brought forth allegations against Yash Dayal, the pace bowler for Uttar Pradesh and Royal Challengers Bengaluru, claiming he exploited her under the guise of marriage. She has filed a complaint with the police regarding various forms of abuse, including mental, emotional, and physical exploitation.
The woman, a resident of Ghaziabad, reported her grievances on the Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister's online portal, stating that her relationship with Dayal spanned five years. During this time, she alleges that he exploited her both mentally and physically, as well as financially.
In her submission, she provided evidence consisting of chat logs, screenshots, video calls, and photographs, asserting that Dayal presented her to his family as their future daughter-in-law.
"For five years, the complainant maintained a relationship with the cricketer, who misled her with promises of marriage, leading to emotional, mental, and physical exploitation. He introduced her to his family, creating a façade of a committed relationship, which ultimately led to her complete trust in him. When she confronted him about his deceit, she faced physical violence and mental harassment. Financial and emotional exploitation also occurred during their time together," stated a message from the UP Chief Minister's portal to the relevant police department.
The complaint further revealed that Dayal had similar deceitful relationships with other women.
On June 14, 2025, the victim reached out to the women's helpline 181, but her case did not progress within the police system. The Chief Minister's office noted her claims of mental and social distress and her pursuit of justice through official channels.
The Chief Minister's office has requested a report from the Circle Officer in Indirapuram, Ghaziabad, and set a deadline of July 21 for the police to address the complaint filed on IGRS.
