Patna, Oct 28 (NationPress) The Mahagathbandhan, spearheaded by the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD), unveiled its manifesto for the upcoming Bihar Assembly elections on Tuesday. The key feature of this manifesto is 'Bihar Ka Tejaswi Pran' (Tejashwi's commitment to Bihar), emphasizing that the energetic RJD leader will be the pivotal force within the Grand Alliance, should it secure power in the state during the elections.
Tejashwi, the Chief Ministerial candidate for the Grand Alliance, has already become a central figure in the electoral race, making bold promises including government employment for every family and financial support through the 'Mai Bahin Maan Yojana' aimed at assisting millions of women in Bihar.
The manifesto was presented at a press conference in Patna, attended by Tejashwi Yadav, Mukesh Sahni from VIP, Dipankar Bhattacharya representing CPI(ML), and Congress leaders Pawan Khera and Akhilesh Prasad Singh.
During the presentation, Tejashwi Yadav stated, “Our goal is to establish a government dedicated to enhancing Bihar. It is gratifying to present this commitment collectively. We pledge to dedicate our lives to fulfilling these promises. Our aim is to develop Bihar.”
He further remarked that there are external elements intending to “colonise” Bihar.
In a critique of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, he expressed, “The BJP is manipulating him like a puppet. They will not support him as Chief Minister after this election.”
Tejashwi added, “We must develop Bihar and take ownership of its future.”
“The citizens of Bihar are craving change. This time, they seek a government that prioritizes jobs and employment opportunities,” he emphasized.
The former Deputy Chief Minister of Bihar noted that the state has experienced a decline over the past two decades and requires a revival.
He concluded by stating that this manifesto addresses all pertinent issues that will pave the way for Bihar's development and cater to the needs of every societal segment.
