Patna, Oct 15 (NationPress) With the Bihar Assembly Election 2025 nomination process in full swing, numerous influential leaders submitted their candidature on Wednesday.
Among them, Tejashwi Yadav, leader of the RJD, officially submitted his nomination for the Raghopur Assembly constituency, marking his third consecutive attempt for this seat.
The nomination event transformed into a significant display of strength for the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD), featuring an extensive roadshow that attracted thousands of enthusiastic supporters.
Accompanying Tejashwi during this important occasion were RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav, Rabri Devi, Misa Bharti, and Sanjay Yadav.
Tej Pratap Yadav, Lalu’s elder son, was also expected to file his nomination from Mahua on a Janshakti Janata Dal ticket but postponed it until October 16.
In addition to Tejashwi, Vijay Kumar Sinha also filed his nomination from Lakhisarai.
Prior to submitting his papers, Tejashwi expressed to reporters, “The people of Raghopur have shown their trust in me twice. As I file my nomination for the third time, I am optimistic that they will again support me. The people of Bihar are weary of crime, corruption, and unemployment. This time, change is inevitable — Bihar will witness a Grand Alliance government.”
In a fierce critique of the ruling JD-U, Tejashwi stated, “The JD-U is currently being managed by Lalan Singh, Sanjay Jha, and Vijay Chaudhary. These individuals have compromised with the BJP. Nitish Kumar’s Janata Dal United is no longer the same.”
Later, in an elaborate Facebook post, Tejashwi shared images from the nomination rally, calling it a groundbreaking moment for Bihar.
He articulated his vision for the state, asserting that this nomination represents a new era of development and a collective commitment to change.
Tejashwi Yadav committed to providing a government job for every household, eradicating unemployment, offering Rs 2,500 monthly assistance for each woman, ensuring 200 units of free electricity for every home, Rs 500MAA and BETI, and a pledge to combat crime and injustice.
He emphasized, “This nomination is not solely about Tejashwi, but for transformative change across Bihar. Each individual in Bihar has come forward to be a Change Maker. Together, we will advance Bihar.”
The RJD leader concluded his message with a direct appeal to voters:
“With less than a month remaining, I vow to honor every drop of your sweat. The suffering and injustice of the past 20 years will conclude with my oath. The call for change is powerful — Biharis are ready to claim their rights.”
