Kolkata, Oct 26 (NationPress) The BJP asserted on Sunday that the opposition parties, who consistently present themselves as defenders of the Indian Constitution, are in fact posing a daily threat to amend it. Highlighting a viral video, BJP's Information Technology Cell Chief, Amit Malviya, referenced a statement by RJD’s member of legislative council (MLC), Qari Soheb, who declared that if Tejashwi Yadav becomes the Chief Minister of Bihar, they will modify the Constitution and amend the Waqf law. Malviya expressed on social media that these threats to change the Constitution are aimed at usurping the rights of individuals from Backward Classes.
“Those who continuously advocate for the preservation of the Constitution are the same individuals conspiring to alter it -- with the goal of seizing the land and rights of Dalits, Backward Classes, and tribals,” Malviya stated in his post.
He also shared the viral video of Qari Soheb discussing constitutional changes. Furthermore, Malviya posed a critical question to Rahul Gandhi, the Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha, and RJD leader, Tejashwi Yadav, who is the chief ministerial candidate for the anti-NDA grand alliance in Bihar, asking if they would take accountability for such threats against the Constitution.
“The pertinent question for Rahul Gandhi and Tejashwi Yadav - who brand themselves as the self-appointed protectors of the Constitution - is whether they will permit individuals like Qari Soheb to infringe upon the land and reservations of impoverished and marginalized Hindus?” Malviya questioned.
In the viral video, Qari Soheb was also heard asserting at an election rally that supporters of the newly enacted Waqf Amendment Act required appropriate treatment.
“To safeguard Bihar and the nation, defeating the NDA allies is imperative. Once Tejashwi Yadav assumes the position of Chief Minister, all such legislation will be discarded. The Mahagathbandhan will be a government representing unity, brotherhood, and humanity,” he added.
