New Delhi, April 12 (NationPress) - The Bharatiya Janata Party has officially appointed Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan as the central observer for the election of the leader of the Bihar Legislative Party, marking a significant step in the process of government formation in the state.

This decision was made by the party’s parliamentary board, as stated in an official press release from BJP National General Secretary Arun Singh. Chouhan, who holds the position of Union Minister for Agriculture and Farmers Welfare as well as Rural Development, will oversee the election of the party's leader in the Bihar Legislative Assembly.

Chouhan's appointment initiates the formal procedure for establishing a new government in the state. Party insiders have suggested that the election of the Legislative Assembly leader is expected soon, setting the stage for a new government to be formed in Bihar after April 14. This timing is particularly relevant as it aligns with the end of the traditionally inauspicious period known as 'Kharmas', which is considered inappropriate for commencing important activities.

According to an official memorandum from the state government’s Cabinet Secretariat Department, a meeting of the state council of ministers has been scheduled for April 14 at 11:00 a.m. in the main secretariat of Patna. This meeting is anticipated to be the final cabinet session of CM Nitish Kumar, where significant administrative and governance issues will be addressed in light of the ongoing political changes.

Officials from various departments, including senior bureaucrats and secretariat staff, have been instructed to ensure that all necessary arrangements for the cabinet meeting are in place. The Information and Public Relations Department has also been tasked with organizing a press conference following the meeting.
