Jaipur, Sep 11 (NationPress) The Bharatiya Janata Party is set to honor ‘Seva Pakhwada’ nationwide from September 17, coinciding with the birth anniversary of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, until October 2, which marks the birth anniversaries of Mahatma Gandhi and Lal Bahadur Shastri.

A state-level workshop was conducted in Jaipur on Thursday, where Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma, State In-charge Radhamohan Das Agarwal, and State President Madan Rathore addressed party members regarding the campaign, the Atmanirbhar Bharat Sankalp Abhiyan, and the new GST provisions.

Radhamohan Das Agarwal criticized the Congress for allegedly sidelining leaders beyond the Gandhi-Nehru lineage, asserting that while Mahatma Gandhi's statues are prevalent, those of Lal Bahadur Shastri are scarce, hinting at a “conspiracy of Congress.”

Agarwal indicated that the Congress ecosystem hinders the recognition of individuals not associated with Gandhi or Nehru. He announced that Seva Pakhwada will be commemorated from September 17 to October 2 throughout the nation.

While celebrating Mahatma Gandhi's birthday on October 2 has been a tradition, this year, the BJP has chosen to prominently acknowledge Lal Bahadur Shastri's birth anniversary on a national scale.

Chief Minister Sharma emphasized that Prime Minister Modi's journey from grassroots to the highest office illustrates that with national dedication, loyalty, hard work, and service spirit, even the most challenging goals can be achieved.

He praised PM Modi's groundbreaking efforts for the underprivileged, which include providing pucca houses, toilets, electricity, and health services, describing them as unmatched, and noted that Seva Pakhwada is a crucial step towards fulfilling the Prime Minister’s vision of a prosperous India by 2047.

Sharma also emphasized the commitment to environmental conservation, highlighting the planting of 7.5 crore saplings last year, 11 crore this year, and an ambitious target of 50 crore trees over the next five years.

During the campaign, BJP workers will plant trees at local booths, while also celebrating Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya Jayanti (September 25) and Shastri Jayanti (October 2).

Alongside Shastri’s slogan of Jai Jawan Jai Kisan, the party will promote PM Modi's Jai Jawan Jai Kisan and Atal Behari Vajpayee's mantra of Jai Vigyan Jai Anusandhan. Regarding GST reforms, he mentioned that the new provisions will assist the poor, traders, and industrialists by simplifying public life, fostering trade, and bolstering the economy.

In a critique of the opposition, Sharma remarked that the Congress party has perpetually engaged in divisive politics and has shown distress over the recently enacted anti-conversion bill.

“Instead of engaging in assembly discussions, Congress leaders prefer to make statements on social media. They focus on issues of caste, appeasement, and corruption, but such tactics will not prevail anymore,” he stated.

He urged party members to mark Seva Pakhwada with commitment, highlighting that PM Modi identifies as the Pradhan Sevak, and all BJP leaders and workers are likewise dedicated to serving the public.

Furthermore, he reviewed upcoming initiatives, including the Urban Administration Camp, Rural Administration Camp, and the Cooperative Membership Drive.

State BJP President Madan Rathore encouraged party members to participate wholeheartedly in the campaign, asserting that alongside Seva Pakhwada, they will also raise awareness about the Atmanirbhar Bharat Sankalp Abhiyan and the new GST provisions.
