This initiative aligns with Prime Minister Narendra Modi's birthday on September 17 and concludes on the birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi on October 2.
Numerous government departments and organizations are collaborating to conduct a variety of programs nationwide.
Chief Minister Sai stated, “The 'Sewa Pakhwada', commencing on PM Modi's birthday (September 17), will feature diverse activities aimed at serving the people of Chhattisgarh. Each state department and organization has crafted its own plan to assist the populace.”
Ministers and BJP leaders overseeing various departments in the Chhattisgarh government are poised to take action following PM Modi's launch of the 'Sewa Pakhwada' campaign during his visit to neighboring Madhya Pradesh on Wednesday.
Chhattisgarh's Deputy Chief Minister, Vijay Sharma, mentioned that in addition to a statewide cleanliness drive and medical and blood donation camps, the state government intends to implement several activities and services in remote villages.
“Throughout this fortnight of 'Sewa Pakhwada', we plan to set up camps in villages and deliver services to the community. For example, we aim to provide driving licenses to youth in selected villages and mediate conflicts between two gram panchayats,” Deputy CM Sharma informed IANS.
Expressing his admiration for PM Modi, Deputy CM Sharma said that every encounter with the Prime Minister invigorates him.
“PM Modi has always motivated us to serve the public. I have cherished memories with PM Modi since my very first meeting with him after assuming office as Deputy Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh,” he added.
Another Cabinet Minister in the BJP-led Chhattisgarh government, Kedar Kashyap, remarked that PM Modi possesses numerous qualities worthy of emulation, particularly his commitment, determination, and time management.
