Jammu, Sep 16 (NationPress) - The Jammu and Kashmir BJP has finalized all arrangements for the upcoming two-week public outreach and welfare effort dubbed ‘Sewa Pakhwada 2025,’ which is set to begin on September 17 in celebration of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's 75th birthday.
Key BJP figures such as state President Sat Sharma, Leader of Opposition Sunil Sharma, party vice president Shahnaz Ganie, and General Secretaries Anwar Khan and Gopal Mahajan were present at the Sewa Pakhwada 2025 workshop earlier this month to finalize the initiatives.
Sat Sharma stated, “All preparations have been completed, and this campaign not only honors our beloved Prime Minister but also reinforces the BJP’s foundational philosophy of ‘Seva, Sushasan aur Gareeb Kalyan’.”
The BJP's J&K leader urged all district and Mandal-level officials to ensure the campaign's success by engaging youth, women, and marginalized groups.
Vice President Shahnaz Ganie emphasized that Sewa Pakhwada is an excellent opportunity for women and young volunteers to take part in impactful service activities.
“Their involvement will inject fresh energy into the campaign and enhance our grassroots relationships,” she noted.
The campaign's goal is to guarantee smooth and effective execution of these initiatives by all BJP Mandal units throughout J&K.
The public outreach and welfare drive, known as 'Sewa Pakhwada,' will take place from September 17 to October 2.
Workshops were held in early September to strategize for the campaign at the party’s Jammu headquarters and Church Lane in Srinagar.
This initiative will encompass a variety of public welfare and awareness programs, including a statewide blood donation drive on September 17, health check-up camps, cleanliness initiatives, tree planting projects, distribution of assistive devices for the differently-abled, and awareness campaigns highlighting public welfare schemes.
The campaign will also involve district-level administration, with the School Education Department responsible for initiatives like beautification drives and voluntary extra classes.
At the national level, the BJP has appointed Sunil Bansal, its national general secretary, as the convener of the 15-day 'Seva Pakhwada.'
Bansal, a prominent BJP member since 2014, previously managed organizational duties in Odisha, Bengal, and Telangana during the Lok Sabha elections, and was instrumental in the BJP's return to power in Uttar Pradesh.
Now overseeing the 'Seva Pakhwada,' Bansal has conducted workshops with BJP leaders nationwide in preparation for this significant campaign.
This campaign will run from September 17 (the birthday of PM Modi) to October 2 (the birth anniversaries of Mahatma Gandhi and Lal Bahadur Shastri).
Numerous activities are planned, including blood donation and health camps, cleanliness drives, the 'One Tree in Mother's Name' initiative, and various exhibitions and dialogue programs.
Bansal has announced that 771 dialogue programs will take place across states, featuring special interactions with differently-abled citizens, during which assistive devices will also be distributed.
The 'Modi Vikas Marathon' is set to occur simultaneously on September 21 in over 75 major cities nationwide, organized by BJYM.
Moreover, all BJP MPs will conduct sports festivals within their constituencies.
Registrations for the sports festival began on August 29, with official events commencing on September 21.
The campaign will extend through December and January, featuring cultural programs such as painting competitions.
