Lucknow, Sep 17 (NationPress) Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath officially inaugurated the 'Seva Pakhwada 2025' in Lucknow to celebrate Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s 75th birthday.
On behalf of the state’s 25 crore citizens, CM Yogi extended his warm wishes, referring to PM Modi as “the world’s most visionary and popular leader”.
During a press conference, he explained that the two-week initiative, running from September 17 to October 2, will feature a variety of social and creative projects aimed at fostering unity in society.
“It is indeed our privilege to commence Seva Pakhwada on the Prime Minister’s birthday. Today, the world is witnessing a new India under his guidance. Once perceived as a laggard, India is now inspiring the globe with its self-assurance,” CM Yogi highlighted.
He enumerated PM Modi’s numerous achievements, asserting that over the past 11 years, India has experienced “unprecedented success” across various sectors including economy, infrastructure, investment, education, health, agriculture, and water resources.
CM Yogi attributed this progress to the government’s commitment to supporting villages, the underprivileged, farmers, women, youth, Dalits, and marginalized groups, asserting that 25 crore individuals have risen above the poverty line during this timeframe.
Regarding cultural heritage, he stated that respect for traditions has become a tangible reality. “A magnificent Ram Temple has been constructed in Ayodhya after 500 years. The Kashi Vishwanath Temple has undergone redevelopment, and Kedarnath and Badrinath have been rejuvenated, alongside the transformation of the Mahakal Temple. These initiatives have showcased India’s spiritual legacy on the global stage,” he commented.
He also pointed out various projects honoring icons like Dr. Ambedkar, Sant Ravidas, and Maharishi Valmiki as pivotal in the journey towards social justice and upliftment.
CM Yogi noted that India set a benchmark for the world under PM Modi's leadership during the pandemic. “While no vaccine had arrived in India in a century, a Covid-19 vaccine was developed here in merely nine months. It was not only provided free of charge to every citizen but also shared with numerous other nations,” he explained.
The initial phase of Seva Pakhwada will concentrate on women’s health through the campaign ‘Swastha Nari, Sashakt Pariwar’. Initiatives will include health check-ups, nutrition programs, and awareness campaigns. Furthermore, the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha will organize blood donation camps in every district, while free health camps and screenings will be conducted across government hospitals and health centers.
A ‘prabuddh sammelan’ (enlightened People’s Conferences) is scheduled for September 19-20, featuring participation from ministers, MPs, MLAs, and local representatives.
Additionally, a “NaMo Marathon” will take place in 17 cities on September 21, where thousands of youths will promote the Fit India movement.
The Seva Pakhwada will conclude on October 2 with events commemorating the birth anniversaries of Mahatma Gandhi and Lal Bahadur Shastri. Activities will include the promotion of Khadi, exhibitions, and toolkit distribution under the MSME and One District One Product schemes.
Exhibitions showcasing PM Modi’s life journey are also being organized in every district to inspire students and the general populace.
CM Yogi stated: “A developed India and a developed Uttar Pradesh, a self-reliant India and a self-reliant Uttar Pradesh — these are interconnected goals. Guided by the Prime Minister’s Vision 2047, we are committed to achieving them. I pray to Lord Ram that the country continues to benefit from the Prime Minister’s visionary leadership.”
