Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) President Nitin Nabin on Thursday, 24 September 2026, hosted Mission Heads and senior diplomats from eight countries at the party's New Delhi headquarters under the ongoing 'Know BJP' initiative. The interaction brought together diplomatic representatives from Argentina, Armenia, Bhutan, Egypt, the Philippines, Suriname, Tajikistan, and Vietnam.

What Nabin Shared with the Diplomats

In the session, Nabin offered the visiting diplomats an overview of the BJP's evolution as what the party describes as the world's largest political party, outlining its foundational ideological principles. He elaborated on how the party, under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, has translated those principles into what he called people-centric governance, inclusive development, and democratic participation.

Nabin also detailed the party's organisational architecture — its extensive grassroots network and the role of 'karyakartas' (party workers) in sustaining direct engagement with citizens across every part of the country. He pointed to the Union government's record on poverty alleviation, healthcare, infrastructure development, financial inclusion, digital access, and entrepreneurship.

Seva Sankalp Abhiyan Highlighted

Nabin drew attention to the ongoing Seva Sankalp Abhiyan, which began on 17 September and runs through 17 October. He described the campaign's focus on public service, 'Jan Bhagidari' (public participation), 'Antyodaya' (last-mile delivery), and the long-term vision of 'Viksit Bharat@2047'. He noted that service-oriented activities — including blood donation drives and health camps — are being organised across the country under the campaign.

India's Expanding Global Engagement

On the foreign-policy dimension, Nabin underscored Prime Minister Modi's emphasis on strengthening ties with countries and regions across the world. He said India's engagement was 'increasingly extending beyond traditional government-to-government relations to include people-to-people contacts, businesses, students, diaspora communities, Parliamentarians, and political parties.'

Several participants reportedly appreciated the 'Know BJP' initiative, calling it a valuable platform for understanding the party's structure and functions. The diplomats also extended their congratulations to Prime Minister Modi on beginning his third consecutive term in office.

The meeting was also attended by Sandeep Pathak, BJP Rajya Sabha Member of Parliament from Punjab; Bansuri Swaraj, BJP Lok Sabha MP from New Delhi; and Vijay Chauthaiwale, In-charge of the BJP's Foreign Affairs Department. Pathak later described it as 'a meaningful interaction with an enriching exchange of ideas, perspectives and experiences, reflecting the BJP's commitment to global engagement, dialogue and learning from one another.'

The 'Know BJP' initiative forms part of the party's broader effort to project its governance record and ideological framework to an international audience, a push that has gathered pace since Modi's third-term victory.
