Agartala, Nov 21 (NationPress) Tripura's Chief Minister Manik Saha declared on Friday that the BJP government is dedicated to providing high-quality education for students from every community and caste.
While speaking at the award ceremony for outstanding students under the 'CM Saath' initiative held at Rabindra Bhavan, the Chief Minister emphasized that the state administration is committed to developing an education hub in Tripura and is consistently implementing measures to enhance the educational framework.
He remarked: “When we achieve quality education, it propels national growth, serving as the cornerstone for development. After a significant interval, Prime Minister Narendra Modi unveiled the National Education Policy, which addresses diverse aspects including creativity, skill enhancement, expanded thinking, and awareness.”
During the discussion, the Chief Minister pointed out that the Education Department is attentive to the needs of individuals who are unable to pursue education due to financial limitations.
He announced that the state government is rolling out the 'CM Saath' initiative for talented individuals hindered by financial and social barriers, revealing that approximately 200 students from across the state have been chosen under this program on Friday.
“Our objective is to further motivate students in their academic pursuits, benefiting both the state and the nation. The BJP government is devoted to ensuring quality education for talented students, striving to provide essential learning opportunities for the youth. The CM Saath project will generate enthusiasm among the students, with selections made transparently,” he stated.
The Chief Minister also mentioned the introduction of the 'Mission Mukul' program aimed at helping young children in Anganwadi centers adjust to the school environment.
“Various Saharsa initiatives have been introduced for students from classes I to VIII, enabling children to study joyfully without the pressure of examinations. The execution of the PM Poshan project is under strict surveillance. Around 125 schools have been upgraded to Vidya Jyoti. Numerous books have been published in languages such as Kokborok, Chakma, and Mizo. More than 5,200 teachers and 115 librarians have been appointed through JRBT,” Saha explained.
He further informed that multiple educational institutions have now been established in Tripura, including the launch of Triple IT. The Lakshya project has financially supported ten IAS/IPS aspirants.
A National Forensic Science University and a National Law University have been set up in Tripura, he added.
“The state government is striving to create a comprehensive education hub in Tripura, having established numerous facilities in the educational sector. The administration is continuously making decisions aimed at fortifying Tripura's educational system,” he concluded.
Present at the event were Ravel Hemendra Kumar, Special Secretary of the Education Department, along with senior officials from the Education Department.
