New Delhi, Feb 9 (NationPress) In the wake of the party's landmark victory in the Delhi Assembly elections, BJP leaders, including victorious candidates and party officials, have initiated vital discussions regarding the governance of the capital.

Kailash Gahlot, the successful BJP candidate from the Bijwasan constituency, expressed upon arriving at the L-G’s House, "I am here solely for a courtesy meeting with the L-G."

Likewise, Parvesh Verma, who emerged victorious in the New Delhi constituency, also visited the L-G's residence.

In another development, BJP MP Anurag Thakur reached Lucknow to engage in party discussions concerning the Delhi elections.

Earlier today, a significant meeting took place at the residence of Union Home Minister Amit Shah, where crucial decisions regarding the future governance of Delhi were deliberated. Union Minister and BJP President J.P. Nadda was also part of this meeting.

One of the most awaited decisions is the announcement of the Chief Ministerial candidate for Delhi, a topic that has captured public interest. The party has yet to officially declare the CM candidate, and anticipation is high.

The BJP's triumph signifies the end of the Aam Aadmi Party's decade-long reign in Delhi, indicating a substantial shift in public opinion. The recent electoral victory follows losses in 2015 and 2020, and with a strong mandate, the BJP is set to implement its vision for Delhi, concluding the era of Kejriwal-led governance.

Earlier, outgoing Chief Minister Atishi, who successfully retained her Kalkaji seat by defeating BJP's Ramesh Bidhuri with a margin of 3,521 votes, submitted her resignation to the L-G at the Delhi Secretariat.

Despite her individual victory, the AAP faced a significant electoral setback, with senior leaders including Kejriwal, as well as ministers like Manish Sisodia, Satyendar Jain, and Saurabh Bhardwaj, losing their respective seats.
