New Delhi, Feb 8 (NationPress) Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday celebrated the BJP's overwhelming success in the Delhi Assembly elections, vowing to pursue developmental initiatives with renewed energy and a firm commitment to good governance.

While joining the festivities at the BJP headquarters, PM Modi addressed party members and characterized the party's significant triumph in Delhi as a testament to development, vision, and trustworthiness, while labeling the defeat of 'AAP-da' as a result of arrogance.

He also extended his congratulations to party workers for the BJP’s impressive performance in the national capital, successfully removing the corrupt government.

"The citizens of Delhi have demonstrated that there is no room for deceit and falsehood in politics. Today, shortcut politics has experienced a short circuit," PM Modi remarked, taking a dig at the Arvind Kejriwal-led AAP.

Commenting on the Milkipur (Uttar Pradesh) by-elections, PM Modi noted that the BJP achieved a notable victory there due to public support for their policy of santushtikaran and the rejection of appeasement politics practiced by opposition parties.

He pointed out that the BJP has been consistently elected in various states, being granted multiple opportunities to govern. He referenced states neighboring Delhi, such as Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Haryana, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, and Goa, attributing their success to good governance.

“People are opting for double engine governments because we operate with strong determination and objective-driven policies. We have worked to eradicate encephalitis in Uttar Pradesh, initiated programs to tackle drought in Maharashtra, and promoted nari sakti across the nation,” he stated.

PM Modi criticized the outgoing AAP government for obstructing numerous welfare initiatives, including Ayushman Bharat, and for preventing slum residents from acquiring pucca houses.

"Delhi has endured due to the incessant protests by AAP-da. Today, the public has cast their votes for good governance—this is not merely about publicity or propaganda," PM Modi concluded.
