Bhopal, March 20 (NationPress) Madhya Pradesh Sports and Youth Welfare Minister and BJP leader Vishvas Sarang criticized the Opposition members on Thursday for their display of a drama-cum-protest at the Assembly premises.

He remarked that the Opposition has been preoccupied with photoshoots during the current Assembly session, rather than engaging in discussions about the government's policies and developmental issues pertinent to their own constituencies.

"One can learn the misuse of the Assembly from Congress. They have been doing it since the Budget Session commenced on March 10. Sometimes, they even arrive at the House with snakes or facemasks to garner media attention," Minister Sarang told IANS.

The BJP leader responded to the Congress' drama-cum-protest at the Assembly by questioning, "Why do Congress members continuously showcase Ravana and his family members? Are they close to them?"

On Thursday, in their demand for a CBI probe into the case of former Regional Transport Office Constable Saurabh Sharma, the Congress MLAs laid down on the road, charging the BJP with being as inactive as 'Kumbhakarna' regarding the transport scam and unemployment issues.

It was Leader of Opposition Umang Singhar and Congress MLA Hemant Katare who brought this issue forward via a Call Attention Motion.

LoP Singhar stated that despite investigations by multiple agencies, the owner of 52 kg of gold biscuits and cash worth Rs 11 crore remains unidentified.

The gold and cash were confiscated from an abandoned vehicle in Mendora.

Congress leader Singhar alleged that the gold biscuits originated from Dubai and made serious accusations against the BJP-led state government regarding this matter.

State Transport Minister Uday Pratap Singh responded, asserting that no dairy was found during the Lokayukta raid on former RTO Constable Saurabh Sharma.

The Transport Minister explained that along with the Lokayukta, other competent agencies like the Economic Offences Wing, Income Tax Department, and the Enforcement Directorate are conducting the investigation.

He contended that it would be unreasonable to call for a CBI investigation until reports from these agencies are available.

The Opposition members stormed into the well of the House, chanting slogans in support of their demand.

However, the BJP-led state government declined to accept the Opposition's request.
