New Delhi, Feb 22 (NationPress) Following a momentous win in the national Capital, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has initiated a thorough series of inspections to tackle civic and infrastructural challenges throughout Delhi.

Ministers are visiting essential sites to evaluate ongoing development efforts and address enduring issues.

Minister Parvesh Verma examined the Moolchand Flyover segment leading to the Sarai Kale Khan area, concentrating on persistent waterlogging problems at the Moolchand underpass.

This site has been infamous for significant water accumulation and vehicle submersion during heavy rainfall.

Verma instructed officials to clear drainage systems well in advance of the monsoon season to avert future flooding.

"In Delhi, several areas are prone to waterlogging during the rains, and one such location is behind the Moolchand Flyover. This area has been a continual source of complaints regarding water accumulation. Before the onset of the monsoon, I have directed all officials to commence work on every waterlogging-prone site in Delhi," he informed reporters.

"Drains must be cleared to ensure that no road or flyover in Delhi suffers from waterlogging this year," he added.

The minister also assessed progress on the Sarai Kale Khan flyover, where construction has been ongoing. Voicing concern over project delays, Verma guaranteed prompt resolution of outstanding issues, including payment challenges and forest clearances.

"This project has been dragging on for too long, and no one has come to evaluate the situation. I have been made aware of payment issues and the requirement for some forest clearance. We will address both as soon as possible," he stated.

"This work must be completed swiftly, as delays lead to escalating costs, which ultimately burden the people of Delhi. We must ensure the timely completion of all projects," Verma emphasized.

Meanwhile, Minister Kapil Mishra visited Khajuri Khas Chowk in the Karawal Nagar constituency, where he engaged with Public Works Department (PWD) officials to deliberate on local infrastructural matters.

Speaking to IANS, he highlighted the urgent need for solutions to ongoing traffic congestion and deteriorating roads.

"The daily challenges here must be addressed, and coordinated efforts with the traffic police are essential to eliminate bottlenecks," Mishra stated.

"Roads across Delhi are in dreadful condition, with faulty drainage systems widespread. The Chief Minister has issued clear directives -- officials must work tirelessly to rectify roads, water supply, and sewage systems immediately. Kejriwal's era of misgovernance is over, and now, under the Prime Minister's leadership, good governance and a culture of efficiency have taken precedence," he added.
