Devina Gahlot, daughter of Delhi legislator Kailash Gahlot, has secured All India Rank 1 in the Common University Entrance Test (CUET) Undergraduate 2026, achieving the highest aggregate NTA score in the country. Speaking after the results, Devina said: 'I am extremely happy. I knew my exam had gone well, but I never expected to secure the All India Rank 1.' She credited her family and teachers as indispensable to the outcome, noting that 'this achievement would not have been possible without the support of my family and teachers.'

Reflecting on her preparation journey, Devina acknowledged early self-doubt. 'There were some difficulties in the beginning as the preparation had to begin right after the board exams. At times, I felt I might not be able to do it. But once I started studying seriously, my confidence built up,' she said. Her core advice to aspirants: 'Instead of studying for very long hours, it is better to study regularly every day. Revision and taking breaks are also important.' She emphasised that 'consistency and discipline are more important than just studying for long hours.'

Beyond academics, Devina has a strong passion for literature — reading and writing are among her primary hobbies. She is currently considering pursuing an Honours degree in English, a natural extension of her interests and strengths.
