New Delhi, Sep 12 (NationPress) The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Friday launched a fierce critique against the Congress party, accusing it of breaching all standards of decency following the release of an AI-generated video by its Bihar unit that targets Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s late mother.

BJP leaders also condemned Congress MP and Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi, for his absence at the oath-taking ceremony of newly elected Vice President C.P. Radhakrishnan.

BJP spokesperson RP Singh remarked that the Congress has descended to “new lows in political discourse.”

“This is profoundly shameful. The Congress party has now transformed into an entity that solely resorts to insults,” he told IANS.

On Rahul Gandhi’s absence from the swearing-in ceremony, Singh stated: “The opposition does not respect democratic processes. The Vice President’s oath-taking was an essential event, and opposition leaders should have been present.”

BJP national general secretary Arun Singh also criticized the Congress, referencing its recent electoral failures.

“Recall the Rajasthan elections, where Rahul Gandhi even conducted a yatra. What occurred? Their government was ousted. When Congress secures victories in Himachal or Karnataka, do they accuse ‘vote theft’ there? But upon losing, they challenge constitutional entities. With such theatrics, the Congress is unlikely to regain power for the next 30-40 years,” he asserted.

In agreement, BJP national spokesperson Tom Vadakkan criticized the Congress leadership's attitude toward national institutions.

“There is a distinct pattern. On Independence Day, their seats were unoccupied. When invited, they do not attend; when not invited, they create a controversy. Disrespecting national initiatives and constitutional authorities has seemingly become second nature to Rahul Gandhi. He stands in opposition to the State and PM Modi; these are his ideological divergences…,” Vadakkan stated.

Regarding the controversial AI-generated video, Vadakkan cautioned against a significant public backlash.

“The Congress and the INDI alliance are formulating a new narrative by targeting the Prime Minister’s mother, who was cherished by him. Whether it is AI-generated or any other type of clip, the backlash will be considerable…”

Point of View

Maintaining a balanced perspective is crucial. The BJP's condemnation of Congress highlights significant concerns about political decorum and the treatment of public figures and their families. While criticism of political opponents is expected, the methods employed must align with a respectful and democratic dialogue.
