New Delhi, June 12 (NationPress) Kelly Ortberg, the President and CEO of Boeing, announced on Thursday that he has reached out to Air India Chairman N. Chandrasekaran to extend their comprehensive support, stating that a Boeing team is on standby to assist in the inquiry regarding the tragic air crash.

"Our heartfelt sympathies go out to the families of the passengers and crew aboard Air India Flight 171, along with everyone impacted in Ahmedabad,” Ortberg mentioned in a post on X.

“I have communicated with Air India Chairman N. Chandrasekaran to provide our complete backing, and a Boeing team is prepared to assist the investigation conducted by India's Aircraft Accident Investigation Bureau,” added the Boeing CEO.

The Civil Aviation Minister Ram Mohan Naidu reported that in the wake of the unfortunate incident in Ahmedabad, “a formal investigation has been launched by the Aircraft Accident Investigation Bureau (AAIB), adhering to international standards established by the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO).”
