Jaipur, June 16 (NationPress) The Palace School, situated at Jaleb Chowk in Jaipur, received a bomb threat through an email. The school authorities promptly notified the Manak Chowk police station, leading to a complete evacuation of the premises. However, following a meticulous search, no suspicious items were uncovered.
The bomb disposal and dog squads were quickly dispatched to the location, initiating a thorough examination of the school grounds. Reports indicate that the threatening email was sent to the school’s official email address on Sunday, but went unnoticed as the institution was closed at that time.
On Monday, at approximately 11 a.m., school personnel found the email and immediately contacted the police control room and the local police station. In response, police teams executed an extensive search operation across the entire campus, ensuring all students and staff were safely evacuated.
According to police officials, “On Monday, the administration of The Palace School received an email containing a bomb threat. Upon receiving this alert, police teams, along with the dog squad, bomb disposal unit, and the Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS), quickly arrived at the scene and commenced a comprehensive search operation. Thankfully, no suspicious items or explosives were found during the inspection.”
This incident is not isolated to Jaipur. On May 8, 12, and 13, there were threats to detonate Sawai Mansingh Stadium. The email received on May 13 also included a plea for justice for a rape victim. On May 9, an additional bomb threat was directed at Jaipur Metro, with warnings of an explosion at both the station and inside a train, citing retaliation following the success of “Operation Sindoor.” However, investigations revealed no evidence of explosives.
