BSP's Akash Anand Critiques Kejriwal's Promises as 'Draupadi's Saree,' Congress Denounces AAP Governance as 'Fraudulent'

New Delhi, Jan 6 (NationPress) Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) National Coordinator Akash Anand unleashed a fierce critique against Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) National Convenor Arvind Kejriwal on Monday. At a rally in the Kondli constituency prior to the Delhi Assembly elections, Anand compared Kejriwal's unfulfilled commitments to 'Draupadi's saree', suggesting they stretch indefinitely yet are never realized.

Anand's provocative statement has elicited strong reactions, with Congress leader Sandeep Dikshit accusing Kejriwal of mismanagement and labeling his administration as 'fraudulent.'

In response to Anand's comments, Sandeep Dikshit remarked, 'Regardless of the party, as we have begun to expose the failures of the Aam Aadmi Party in Delhi, other parties like the BJP are echoing the same concerns. The Congress has consistently prioritized developmental issues in Delhi, including roads, education, the environment, health, DTC buses, and the economy.'

Dikshit further accused Kejriwal's administration of rampant corruption, stating, 'For the past 10-15 days, we have been vocally revealing Kejriwal's mismanagement and empty promises. Even the INDIA bloc parties, who once regarded him as a competent leader, are coming to terms with the deceit in his governance. His government has persisted solely on lies and advertisements.'

Addressing BSP supporters in East Delhi's Kondli Assembly constituency, Akash Anand did not hold back in his criticism of Kejriwal. 'Arvind Kejriwal is anti-Constitution and anti-Ambedkar,' he charged, accusing the former Delhi Chief Minister of betraying the public with promises that have gone unfulfilled.

In his now-infamous statement, Anand declared, 'Kejriwal's promises are akin to Draupadi's saree; no matter how much you tug at it, it never ends. These promises will never see fulfillment.'

He further claimed that Kejriwal's administration lacks the necessary sincerity and accountability, failing to meet the aspirations of Delhi's populace.

With both the BSP and Congress amplifying their critiques of AAP, the political contest in Delhi is heating up, raising questions about the cohesiveness of the Opposition INDIA bloc.
