Congress Claims AAP Acknowledges Loss in Delhi Elections

New Delhi, Dec 26 (NationPress) The Congress party claimed on Thursday that the ruling Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) in Delhi, led by Arvind Kejriwal and Manish Sisodia, has come to terms with their impending defeat in the Assembly elections set for early next year.
The Congress also accused AAP of making unfounded remarks fueled by fear regarding their candidates.
“In a democratic framework, political entities are entitled to compete in elections autonomously,” remarked Devender Yadav, President of the Congress Delhi unit. He criticized Kejriwal and his party for losing their decorum and making opportunistic comments about potential collaborations.
“I want to challenge Arvind Kejriwal, who is currently out on bail, to reveal the annual amount of foreign funding his party receives. This information should be made public. By associating with separatist factions such as Khalistan, he has already exposed his real character to the electorate,” he added.
Yadav further criticized Kejriwal for mismanagement throughout his time in office. “In the past 11 years, the corrupt Arvind Kejriwal has dismantled Delhi’s educational and healthcare frameworks, increased electricity charges, supplied contaminated water at exorbitant rates, and contributed to unprecedented unemployment. He has regressed Delhi’s development by 50 years,” he stated.
The Congress also condemned AAP for its “ambiguous statements concerning alliances.” “AAP leaders need to clarify their position. Kejriwal previously declared no alliance with Congress in Delhi, while Sanjay Singh discusses alliances in Haryana. This so-called alliance strategy has netted AAP only one MLA in Kashmir — where they had no previous presence,” Yadav noted.
He continued that the Congress has published a white paper showcasing only a segment of Kejriwal’s alleged 11 years of misgovernance. “Whether it’s the BJP-supported CAA or the liquor scandal, AAP and BJP have conspired to turn Delhi into the drug capital. Kejriwal secured power by leveraging BJP support, a fact recognized nationwide,” he emphasized.
“He has let down the trust of 2.5 crore residents of Delhi by not delivering on his promises. Instead, he indulges in opportunistic politics with new election campaign pledges. Under his administration, Delhi has gained notoriety for pollution-related fatalities, riots, crimes against women, and escalating violence against Dalits. Kejriwal’s governance has transformed Delhi into a hub of drugs and disorder,” the Congress leader concluded.
