Punjab Congress Leaders Warn Delhi Residents About ‘Deceptive’ AAP Commitments

New Delhi, Jan 4 (NationPress) As the electoral contest intensifies alongside growing tensions among the ruling Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and the opposition parties BJP and Congress, the Punjab faction of the historic party has issued a cautionary note for the inhabitants of the capital.

Numerous Congress leaders from Punjab have alerted city residents about the ‘misleading and hollow’ promises made by AAP and its leader Arvind Kejriwal. They specifically warned women regarding the Rs 2,100 monthly allowance pledged by AAP’s leader, reminding them that similar commitments were made in Punjab three years ago without any follow-through.

During a press briefing at the city’s Vijay Chowk, a lineup of Congress leaders, including Punjab unit president Amarinder Singh Raja Warring, CLP leader Partap Singh Bajwa, along with AICC treasurer Ajay Maken and Delhi unit chief Devender Yadav, reminded Delhi residents of AAP’s election promises in Punjab and how they have remained unfulfilled despite AAP being in power for three years.

Both Warring and Bajwa emphasized that nearly three years have elapsed since AAP took control in Punjab, yet their assurances have not been realized.

Warring stated that Congress leaders from Punjab are set to conduct extensive campaigning across Delhi during the assembly elections to raise awareness about AAP’s ‘false promises’.

“When Kejriwal was questioned previously about the funding for these populist initiatives, he claimed he would generate Rs 20,000 crore annually from sand mining and save Rs 34,000 by eliminating corruption,” he noted.

Punjab CLP leader Partap Bajwa urged the people of Delhi to choose a Congress government for real progress and development.

He referred to the 15-year tenure of Congress under the late Sheila Dikshit, stating that those were the golden years of advancement.

Bajwa accused AAP’s convenor of perpetrating the ‘fraud of the century’ by misleading mothers, daughters, and sisters with promises of Rs 1,000 monthly, only to retract later.

He further mentioned that the citizens of Punjab are now lamenting their decision to elect AAP to governance in the state.

Congress treasurer Ajay Maken reiterated his ‘Farziwal’ remark aimed at the former Delhi Chief Minister, insisting his claims are corroborated by the ‘revelations’ from Punjab Congress leaders.

He added that he will conduct a comprehensive press conference at the Delhi PCC office on Sunday to unveil more details.
