New Delhi, Jan 19 (NationPress) Accusing the AAP of making empty promises in Punjab, Union Minister of State for Railways Ravneet Singh Bittu criticized party National Convenor Arvind Kejriwal on Sunday for failing to fulfill his commitment to provide monthly financial support to women in both Punjab and Delhi.

Bittu, who serves as an MP from Punjab, informed the media in Delhi that Kejriwal demonstrates double standards and deceives voters with his grand declarations.

“It pains me to witness the same deceit that Arvind Kejriwal expressed in Punjab being reiterated in Delhi,” he stated.

He further accused Kejriwal of misappropriating funds from Punjab for political advertising in Delhi, thereby misleading women with unfulfilled promises.

“They claimed to provide Rs 1,000 monthly to women but have failed to deliver,” he remarked, mentioning that the AAP government in Punjab owes each woman in the state Rs 36,000 as arrears for the last three years.

With the AAP having governed Delhi for five years, women voters should demand over Rs 50,000 from them, calculated at Rs 1,000 per month, prior to the elections.

“If Kejriwal had genuinely intended to provide monthly financial aid to women, he would have done so in the past three years in Punjab,” he continued, also claiming he had deceived senior citizens by promising them an increased pension of Rs 2,500 per month without following through.

The MoS further denounced Kejriwal, labeling him an opportunist politician who exploited the anti-corruption movement to mislead the public and gain power.

“He profited from Anna Hazare’s movement. At that time, while Anna Ji was present, the Congress-UPA government was in power, which was riddled with corruption, and this individual capitalized on that situation,” he expressed.
